FOSSnix IT designs and manages open-source infrastructure that gives small businesses control over their data, predictable costs, and IT systems built on platforms free from licensing lock-in.

1. Scope of Services

FOSSnix IT provides IT consulting, managed infrastructure services, deployment assistance, and technical support. Specific services, deliverables, pricing, and service levels are defined in individual agreements, proposals, or statements of work.

Nothing on this website constitutes a binding offer for services.


2. No Guarantee of Outcomes

While we apply industry best practices and professional judgment, technology outcomes depend on many factors outside our control. FOSSnix IT does not guarantee uninterrupted service, absolute security, or specific business outcomes unless explicitly stated in a written agreement.


3. Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for:

  • Securing credentials and access provided to them

We are not responsible for failures caused by inaccurate information, unsupported configurations, or third-party actions.


4. Third-Party Services and Software

FOSSnix IT is not responsible for outages, changes, or failures caused by third-party providers or upstream dependencies.


5. Open-Source Software

FOSSnix IT frequently deploys and supports open-source software. Open-source software is provided under the terms of its respective licenses.

We do not claim ownership of open-source software and do not provide warranties beyond those permitted by applicable licenses and agreements.


6. Data Ownership and Access

Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

  • Clients retain ownership of their data
  • FOSSnix IT may access client systems solely for service delivery and support
  • We do not sell or monetize client data

Clients are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups unless backup services are explicitly included in their service agreement.


7. Confidentiality

We treat client information as confidential and will not disclose it except:

  • As required to deliver services
  • With client consent
  • As required by law

Clients agree to protect any confidential information provided by FOSSnix IT.


8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FOSSnix IT shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including loss of data, revenue, or business interruption.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the client for services during the three months preceding the claim, unless otherwise required by law.


9. Indemnification

Clients agree to indemnify and hold harmless FOSSnix IT from claims arising from:

  • Client misuse of systems
  • Violation of laws or regulations
  • Content stored or transmitted through client systems

10. Website Use

This website is provided for informational purposes only. We make no warranties regarding accuracy or availability.

Unauthorized use, scraping, or abuse of the website is prohibited.


11. Intellectual Property
